Confessions of an
Economic Hit Man by John Perkins
This riveting book exposes the little known inner workings of a
system that fosters globalization and leads to the impoverishment of millions of people across the planet.
John Perkins tells of his own inner journey from willing servant of empire to impassioned advocate for the
rights of oppressed people.
His job was to implement policies that promoted the interests of the U.S.
corporatocracy – a coalition of government, banks and corporations. Perkins’ story illuminates just how far he and
his colleagues – self-described as economic hit men – were willing to go. He reveals the hidden mechanic of
imperial control behind some of the most dramatic events in recent history.
It is a compelling story, which many people warned Perkins not to write, that
also offers hope and a vision for a just and compassionate world that will bring us greater security.

Self-Made Man
One Woman's Journey into Manhood and Back Again by Norah Vincent
After deciding to investigate how "the other side" lives and behaves when not in presence of women,
the Los Angeles Times columnist, Noran Vincent, spent 18 months living as a man. Her journey as 'Ned' (the name she
chose) is revealed in this interesting and thought-provoking book.
While she initially expected to 'get even' with men, as one would expect from a practising lesbian,
Norah has instead shocked America with this book. In it she asserts that men are quite unlike the stereotypes that
women imagine them to be and that their life is much harder than it's imagined. Men and women live in parallel
worlds, she says.
YOU: The Smart Patient by Dr. Michael
Rozien
Dr Michae Rozien is probably known for his work on the RealAge test (see RealAge.com). This test
uses various lifestyle, genetic and medical factors to calculate a patient's biological, rather than chronological,
age. The RealAge company is a 12-y.o. consumer health group, who work on educating patients on what steps to take
to make themselves years younger biologically. They advocate simple steps like drinking less alcohol, eating more
vegetables and taking extra vitamins.
Dr Rozien's previous books include:
"RealAge: Are You as Young as You Can Be?" (published by Collins in 1999 - a New York Times
best seller)
"The RealAge Diet"
"Cooking the RealAge Way"
"The RealAge Makeover"
"YOU: The Owner's Manual" (published in 2005 - another New York Times best seller)
Spychips: How Mayor Corporations and Government Plan to Track Your Every Move With
RFID
By Katherine Albrecht and Liz McIntyre
RFID, which stands for Radio Frequency IDentification, is a
technology that uses computer chips smaller than a grain of sand to track items from a distance. And as this
mind-blowing book explains, plans and efforts are being made now by global corporations and the U.S government to
turn this advanced technology, these spychips, into a way to track our daily activities—and keep us all on Big
Brother’s short leash.
Compiling massive amounts of research with firsthand knowledge,
Spychips explains RFID technology and reveals the history and future of the master planners’ strategies to imbed
these trackers on everything—from postage stamps to shoes to people themselves—and spy on Americans without our
knowledge or consent. It also urgently encourages consumers to take action now—to protect their privacy and civil
liberties before it’s too late.
SpyChips: By Katherine Albrecht and Liz McIntyre. 288 pgs., Hard Cover, $24.95 plus $5.00 for S/H. For each additional book add $1.50 for
